This weekend Marty and I went to the beach for our anniversary (4 years!) and took our dog Gracie with us. Gracie has never seen the beach or felt sand under her feet. The first day we got there, we could not wait to take her for walk. As soon as her paws hit the sand, she was grinning from ear to ear. I have never witnessed anyone get more sand in their mouth or eyes and not care one bit. Gracie loved it! Marty and I made sure to take her for a daily walk...we also took her for a night walk, which was her favorite.
Another first this weekend was feeling the baby kick. While driving home from the beach today, I began to feel these small quick motions in my lower abdomen. It was the most amazing feeling ever! I have been waiting for this day for so long...it definitely makes everything seem more real! Marty also got some great pics on the beach with me showing off my belly (19 weeks)...it seems to grow daily!
It was a wonderful and relaxing anniversary weekend! We couldn't have asked for more!
