This week Braxton has experienced a few firsts...his first snow and his first trip to Children's Hospital for light therapy. When we went back to the pediatrician for his weigh-in, they decided to check his jaundice levels due to the yellow pigment in his eyes. We had to go back and retest his levels the next day to determine whether they were going up or down. Unfortunately, they had gone up. That day we were admitted to the Children's Hospital here in Atlanta for Braxton to undergo light therapy. Although jaundice and light therapy is pretty common, it was still sad to see the little guy have to lay under those lights with an IV and heart monitor cords taped to his chest for 2 days. Finally, his levels began to drop and we were released from the hospital on the third day. We were able to celebrate Braxton's second week birthday at home. Thanks to everyone for all the sweet messages and prayers this past week! Below are a few pictures from the week. Happy 2 weeks Braxton!
