Braxton had a busy week...it was full of travel and visiting with friends. We started the week by taking a day trip to Nashville to visit the Goodgame family and grandmama. Braxton got to meet his Aunt Amy, Uncle Randy and cousins (Livi, Jonah, and Ben) for the first time. We were also thrilled to meet our new nephew, Ben, who was adopted from Ethiopia. It was so fun spending the day with the whole family. Braxton did great in the car...he slept the whole way there and back...he didn't even want to wake up to eat!
On Thursday (1/28), Braxton turned one month old! He is getting so big...at his one month pediatrician visit he weighed 9 lbs and 4 oz. Since it was such a pretty day, we decided to take a walk in the stroller for the first time. Braxton enjoyed the spring-like temps and looking at the nature around him. That night, a few of our friends (Dawn & Scott and Dustin, Leslie, & their son Bryce) brought us dinner. They were even sweet enough to bring a cake to celebrate Braxton's first month birthday. Braxton and Bryce enjoyed playing on the floor together...we got some really cute pics of them.
For the weekend, we took a trip to Auburn to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was Braxton's first overnight trip. He did well and slept in his bouncy seat a majority of the time. We had a great time visiting with friends and family.
On Monday, I hit the BIG 30! I really don't feel any older, but I am sure it will hit me soon. I was so excited to have my friend Brandi come visit for a few hours. That night Marty took me to dinner at Lime...a neat Mexican restaurant in Vinings. We drove around a few extra minutes to make sure Braxton was totally asleep. He slept the whole time. I had a wonderful birthday and was so happy to have Braxton there to help me celebrate...he is the best gift of all!
