Christmas at Grandmama's

Well, we finally made it to Grandmama's to celebrate Christmas...only three weeks late.  Of course, being the impatient people we are, we decided to open gifts the night that we got there...that's probably why Braxton looks like a zombie in half of the pictures...it was 9:30 our time and way past his bed time...oh well, it was Christmas, right?  We probably would have gotten there earlier, but we left the Friday after the snow storm and everyone was still taking it pretty slow on the interstate.  Four and a half hours and two stops later (one due to Braxton spitting up all over his car seat...that was fun!), we finally made it!  We had so much fun watching Braxton open all of his gifts.

The next morning we headed over to Grandmother and Granddaddy's house to visit.  Braxton had a blast going up and down their stairs and playing with Granddaddy Mutt's massage chair.  He is going through a bit of a phase where he doesn't really like other people to hold him, so he wasn't too keen on sitting in either of their laps.  I know Grandmother just wanted to hold him so bad.

We had such a great visit.  Braxton had a few firsts while we were there: eating an unchopped banana, trying his first Oreo and the best of all...saying his first real word.  All of us were at the dinner table and the next thing we knew we saw Braxton holding Gracie's ball.  He held it up to show us and just said it - BALL.  We were so excited!  Can't wait to see what he says next...we are trying for Momma and Da-Da.  :)

Thanks so much for the wonderful gifts and good food Grandmama!  We had a great time and can't wait to visit again.

Here are a few pictures from our trip:
