9 Months Old

How is my "baby" 9 months old (on 1/30) already?!  I know I say this every month, but it is really starting to sink in that he will be a year old in less than 3 months.  I am just not ready!  Not to mention, he is growing up even faster by having a big brother to look up to.  He always wants to be where the action is and is not happy until he is.  Normally, I would have never let Braxton play with Hot Wheels at this age, but Carter goes and gets in the middle of Braxton's toys - supervised of course :).  If we drag him away, he just keeps crawling back. This boy wants to be like his big bro so bad - it is too cute to watch them feed off each other.  Outside of wanting to be big, he IS big - 90th percentile in all categories: 25 lbs, 29.5 inches!  He is still crawling all over the place and pulling up on EVERYTHING!!!  He definitely does not sit still and keeps his Mommy and Daddy on their toes.  He has now conquered the stairs but we do not encourage it since we feel the need to be on top of him when he climbs - of course that is where he jets off to half the time.  If this boy is not into sports, I will definitely be surprised.  He is as strong as a bull and FAST!  Below are some fun facts from this month:

• On the move - crawling and pulling up everywhere! (we try to contain him in his car walker, but that doesn't last long!)
• Took his first wagon ride with Big Brother
• Eating 4-5 6 oz bottles a day with baby food in between feedings; loves puffs and can now put them in his mouth
• Pretty much weaned from nursing - makes Momma sad but am still trying to get in a feeding in the morning and night
• Sleeping 10-12 hours a night - if he wakes, we rub his back and he will usually go right back to sleep
• Wearing 12-month clothes - some 9-month still fit but they are few and far between
• First ear infection - ouchie!
• First New Year's and Alabama National Championship
