It still has not sunk in that our little guy is a 1 year old!!! To celebrate, we had a Dump Truck themed birthday party on Saturday (5/4). Due to the rain, we had to bring the festivities indoors. Thank goodness we had a back-up place reserved in our apartment clubhouse. It actually turned out great and was convenient for set-up. We were so excited to have Me-Mom and Pop-Pop in town for the occasion, as well as, the Agan family who came up from Birmingham and Nick's Mom, who lives in the Nashville area. Marty's Mom and sister's family were there too, so we had a great turn-out! Carter definitely enjoyed his brownie "dump truck" smash cake but wasn't too sure about the candle so Momma helped blow it out. After cake, Braxton helped Carter open his gifts. I think Braxton was more excited about them than Carter - after each one he shouted, "Momma, look at this!!!" We had to do a little explaining around the gifts being Carter's and that he would share them - we are still working on that. It was such a special day and we are so thankful for our sweet family and friends.
