On my actual birthday, the following Saturday, Marty was sweet and started my day with muffins from a great bakery called the Puffy Muffin. The boys got their very own cupcakes for breakfast as well. Next, the boys let me get out for a few hours for pampering...pedicure, shopping, and free make-up application at Merle Norman for my birthday month. Marty has been helping his brother-n-law turn their shed into a mini-office, so I met the boys there and got a text from our fun neighbors who invited us to play. Carter and Sully are in the same Parent's Day Out class and get along so well...they already look like a little married couple strolling babies around...
Braxton also had some post-birthday fun when we took him to his first Monster Truck Rally earlier in January. We had gotten tickets for his birthday and it was something he really looked forward to. He was so amazed by all the big trucks and now he constantly pretends to have his own rally with his toys at home.
January/February is a popular time for birthdays as Braxton was invited to 3 parties over the course of 4 weeks. And so it begins...birthday party central. It is definitely fun seeing him interact with all his school friends. The most recent party was for Cate and Charlie at The Monkey Treehouse. It was such a neat venue with a pretend city, dress-up, mini cars and trucks, and a giant treehouse. Braxton had a blast as you can tell...
