Welcome to my big-boy room!
Braxton is super excited about his new room. We started the transition a couple of weeks ago by just putting his new toddler bed in there. The first couple of nights he was a little anxious and didn't want to stay in the bed, but after a few times of us going in and telling him to "lay down" he finally fell asleep. After night 3, he was staying in the bed all by himself. The next challenge would be napping during the day. Since it was so light out, he could see perfectly and wanted to play with all his toys. He still has a tendency to get up a couple of times, but eventually decides to give in and take a nap. Seems like we have gotten the routine down now and he is officially in his big-boy bed full time. We felt like it would be best to go ahead and transition him early, so he wouldn't correlate having the baby and getting pushed out of his old room. Below are some pics of his new set-up. Our last task is cleaning out the closet (man, what am I going to do with all my dresses) and picking up my nephew's old dresser drawers that my sister has generously offered us. As you can see, we went with the primary colors theme and of course added a splash of "Cars" for Braxton's enjoyment. I think we are just as excited as he is about his new room. It is really starting to hit Momma that her little boy is growing up!
