Spending Time as a Family of Four

Over the last two weeks we have been getting adjusted to our family of four.  Mommy spends most of her time feeding and changing Carter while Daddy takes care of Braxton.  It breaks my heart that I can't spend more time with Braxton, but it has definitely been nice to be at home with the whole family.  I don't know what I would do without Marty being home to help.  He is such a great Daddy.  Braxton is also a wonderful big brother.  He is always trying to help by giving Carter his soothie or wanting to rock the bouncer.  We were finally able to get a few pictures of the two of them:

Now that Carter has gotten through his jaundice, we have at least been able to establish somewhat of a routine.  We were also able to finish up our last few doctor appointments last week.  During week 2, Carter got his tongue clipped since he was tongue-tied like Braxton.  It was nice that we could do an office procedure this time since he is so young (with Braxton we had to do the whole outpatient/anesthesia procedure which is never fun).  We also had to visit the Pediatrician again for Carter's eye since it was goopy and it turned out to be a blocked tear duct.  At this appointment he hit the scales again and weighed in at 9 lbs, 3oz - growing bigger and stronger every day!  Finally, this past week we had his follow-up hearing test and he passed with flying colors.  Now we have a couple of weeks before we head back to the Pediatrician for the 1-month check.

We had a few visitors over the last couple of weeks as well.  The Woods Family made a couple of visits and brought us some delicious food.  Me-Mom and Pop-Pop were able to make a visit and brought us some food as well (my favorites - chicken salad and congo squares).  On Saturday, Aunt Amy came over for our newborn photo shoot.  We can't wait to see how all the pictures turned out!
