Last week the potty training was in full force in the Booth household. Braxton had been going to the potty here and there, but mainly before and after bath time at night. We decided it was time to bite the bullet and take the challenge of potty training him before I go back to work next week. It started last Tuesday with spending the day naked. We did this for the next couple of days and it was amazing how by day 2 Braxton was running over to the potty without being asked. There were only a couple of accidents, the biggest one being poop on his bedroom floor, but that was on day 1. By day 3, he pretty much had it down pat. We had a set-up of one small potty in our dining room (okay, I know this sounds gross, but he always goes in there to do his number 2 business so we felt like it was the best option) and a potty seat on our guest toilet upstairs. Peanut M&Ms were also flowing - 1 for number 1 and 2 for number 2. We have now gone to only M&Ms for number 2. Undies are now being worn and we are trying to get him to pull them up and down by himself. It is still a work in process but we are so proud of him. Just yesterday we were at a friend's house to play and he asked me several times to potty - of course he always says "poo-poo in potty" even when it's only number 1. We are definitely still utilizing pull-ups on errands, activities, and bedtime but have definitely made progress in the right direction. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will be at the stage of only undies. In Braxton's words after each trip to the potty, "Hooray, I did it!"

"Hooray, I did it!"
Yay, big boy undies!
