12 Days of Braxton - Day 3

Here is Braxton at 3 months old. It seems crazy that this was the month that I went back to work. I will never forget the day that Marty called me at work saying that Braxton had rolled over. I was so sad that I had missed it. Marty made me feel better by saying he had walked away for a second and when he came back, Braxton had rolled to his stomach. Now Braxton is pulling up and holding on to things while walking...they grow up way too fast!

During his third month, Braxton:
  • Made his first trip to Ralph, AL to visit Grandmama
  • Met his Great Grandmother and Granddaddy
  • Took his first trip to Urgent Care (false alarm)
  • Celebrated his first St. Patty's Day
  • Had his first playdate with his cousins Samuel and Benjamin
  • Took part in his first Relay for Life walk
  • Began rolling over from his back to stomach
  • Tried on his first swim trunks (he was so excited for his first dip in Grandmama's pool
  • Celebrated his first Easter (as seen below)

A year ago, we welcomed Braxton,
A baby of our own.
Nervously and sleepily,
We took him to our home.

We figured out the nursing.
This goes how? and where?
We were told there would be crying,
And how to show we care.

A year has gone so quickly,
Yet we have learned so much.
We've felt a love so strongly,
In a baby's gentle touch.

His laughs and smiles. His pouts and tears.
Wow! He can get so mad!
But we wouldn't trade a minute,
As a thankful mom and dad.
